The fans =), the heliotrope dresses and hideous yellow; IM conversations about cheese that no one else would understand, and scandalous quote doors; the pre-performance jitters and Tommy Trafford's song; the dreadful statue of Achilles and the Star of the Garter and the diamond snake brooch and the palm tree and the buttonholes. Tape and pins and fire and ice. Late-night rehearsals and set-painting, and celebrations. Being someone else.
Miss you, ET! Have a wonderful time Cyrano-ing; and I wish I were there!

I spotted one of those delightful fans in the hands of a mademoiselle at Cyrano. It was great fun to play with them and avoid Tiff's wrath. :)
I'm trying to remember what other songs we sang. Of course, who could forget Nathan's pyro-antics and his combined (and constant) witticisms with Judah, in and out of performance.
Helping Kanary scandalize Carolyn in Ben's car (on the way to the cast party) and singing Welsh drinking songs with Emily H. on the way back... good times! It is good to remember the glory of times past.
Yes, it was so wonderful to see your fan used in the play. ET may have forgotten a lot of what we have done, but even though we are gone, we still have out memories. I comfort myself by saying that if we had not gone before and paved the way through our trials, they would not have been able to do Cyrano as well as they did.
It may not have been ideal, but it was real and I am so glad, glad to have done it, glad to have all the memories, and glad now others can have similar triumphs and memories.
"You will always be as pretty as possible..."
"I like being missed."
Is that when y'all tried to scandalize me? I remember the trip after Much Ado was scandalous, but I'm not remembering Ideal Husband was particularly...
Cyrano was good fun. We wound up the dinner party with a gospel-sing around one of the tables, and they even turned off the background music for us.
What fun! and just for the record, I miss other ET plays too (like the inimitable P&P). =)
I'm so glad to hear Cyrano went well, and you had fun at the party!
